Italian cuisine is known throughout the world, especially for pasta, pizza and ice cream, but the variety of its food is far richer. Due to the importance of regional cuisine, with many cities and small towns that pride themselves for their own traditions and culinary specialties, and also thanks to the many diverse influences from people who have come to peninsula, the numbers of Italian recipes are endless.

The cuisine has a vast depth, appreciated all over the world for being so diverse, healthy and nutritious, being passed down through the centuries within the family life. The peasants’ footprint, especially, can be seen by the use of ingredients grown from the land, often showing the roots of their traditions.
